Food Review: Primi Breakfasts

Most of us know Primi Piatti for its delicious pizzas and generous portion-pastas. But when last did you try their breakfasts?

We decided to pop in at Primi at the V&A Waterfront after church on Sunday 18 June. As it was after 11:00 we expected that breakfast would be over, but theirs is served until midday. Seeing our reluctance at taking the breakfasts menus, the waitress assured us that the variety on offer would not disappoint. She was right.

Hubby had the Primi Power consisting of bacon, sausage patties, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and eggs. All served on a warmly toasted ciabatta. Riveting, if you ask me.

They have three breakfast bowl options namely Granola, Crispy Bacon and Avo, and the Salmon Protein bowl. I chose the Bacon and Avo bowl and boy, was I pleasantly surprised. Stacked with avo, tomatoes, spring onions, spinach, peppers, zucchini, a poached egg and of course bacon, this bowl provided a brekkie feast of note. (For R10 less you also have the option to enjoy this delicious bowl without bacon.) Tangy yoghurt made the perfect dip. With so many different flavours exploding in my mouth, I was in gastronomic heaven.

And that is only the tip of the iceberg. Click here to view the entire breakfast menu and think of Primi Piatti V&A Waterfront the next time you want someone else to cook breakfast for you 🙂
